Territory Management
Define and manage your geographic coverage areas.
Territories let you define the geographic areas you cover. Once created, territories can be used as filters in facility search to focus on facilities within your coverage area.
Why Use Territories?
Consistent Searching
Apply the same geographic filter to every search without manually selecting states or drawing areas each time.
Team Coordination
Define clear boundaries for team members to avoid overlap and ensure complete coverage.
Progress Tracking
Track how many facilities exist in your territory and how many you've contacted.
Route Optimization
Visualize your territory on a map to plan efficient sales routes.
Territory Page Overview
Navigate to Territory in the sidebar to access the territory management page.
The page has two tabs:
- My Territories — View and manage your saved territories
- Create New — Create a new territory
Creating Territories
You can create territories using four different methods:
County Selection
Click individual counties on the map. Best for precise boundaries that follow administrative lines.
State Selection
Click entire states to add them to your territory. Best for large regional territories.
Draw Polygon
Freehand draw a custom shape on the map. Best for territories that don't follow administrative boundaries.
Pin Drop
Drop pins at locations and set radius circles around each. Best for coverage areas around specific points (like your office or key customers).
Default Territory
You can set one territory as your default. The default territory:
- Is automatically applied to facility searches
- Shows a star badge in the territory list
- Appears pre-selected in the territory filter
To set a default:
- Go to My Territories tab
- Click the star icon on a territory card
- The previous default is automatically unset
Using Territories
Once you have territories:
- Go to Facility Search
- In the Location filter, select Territory
- Choose your territory from the dropdown
- Search results are filtered to facilities within that territory
Your default territory is pre-selected, so you can start searching immediately.
