The Exclude List
Automatically hide unwanted facilities from search results.
The Exclude List is a special list that automatically hides facilities from all your search results. It's perfect for removing facilities you're not interested in, competitors, or facilities you've already closed.
What Is the Exclude List?
Every account has exactly one Exclude List that:
- Is created automatically when you first use it
- Cannot be deleted or renamed
- Has special red styling to distinguish it from regular lists
- Automatically filters out facilities from all searches
Why Use the Exclude List?
Clean Up Search Results
Remove facilities that aren't good prospects so they don't clutter your searches.
Hide Competitors
If you don't want to see competitor facilities, add them to the Exclude List.
Track Closed/Lost
Facilities you've already closed or lost can be hidden from active prospecting.
Focus on New Prospects
By excluding known facilities, you can focus on discovering new opportunities.
How It Works
- Add a facility to the Exclude List
- That facility disappears from search results
- All searches, views, and exports exclude it
- The facility is not deleted — you can still access it
Excluded facilities are hidden, not deleted. You can always:
- View them by opening the Exclude List directly
- Remove them from the Exclude List to show them again
Adding Facilities to Exclude List
From Company Drawer
- Click any facility to open the Company Drawer
- Go to the Overview tab
- Click Add to List
- Select Exclude List (shown with red styling)
- The facility is now excluded from searches
From Facility Search
- Select facilities using checkboxes
- Click Add to List
- Select Exclude List
- Selected facilities are excluded from searches
Viewing Excluded Facilities
To see what you've excluded:
- Navigate to Lists
- Find the Exclude List (pinned at top with red styling)
- Click to open it
- View all excluded facilities
Removing from Exclude List
To restore a facility to search results:
- Open the Exclude List
- Find the facility
- Click the remove button
Or:
- Open the facility's Company Drawer (via direct link or from Exclude List)
- Go to the Overview tab
- Click the × on the Exclude List badge
The facility will immediately appear in search results again.
Exclude List vs. List Filters
The Exclude List and List filters work differently:
| Feature | Exclude List | List Filter |
|---|---|---|
| Effect | Always applied | Applied when selected |
| Visibility | Facilities hidden | Facilities filtered |
| Scope | All searches | Only when filter active |
| Purpose | Permanent removal | Temporary filtering |
Best Practices
Be Selective
Only exclude facilities you're certain you don't want to see. It's easy to forget what you've excluded.
Review Periodically
Check your Exclude List periodically to ensure you haven't excluded too much.
Don't Exclude Prospects
Avoid excluding facilities just because you contacted them. Use Tags or Status instead to track outreach.
Use for Permanent Exclusions
The Exclude List is best for:
- Competitors
- Closed/won customers (already working with them)
- Facilities that don't fit your criteria at all
Troubleshooting
Can't Find a Facility
If a facility isn't appearing in search results:
- Check if it's in your Exclude List
- Open the Exclude List and search for it
- Remove it if you want it to appear again
Exclude List Not Working
If facilities aren't being hidden:
- Refresh the page
- Check that the facility is actually in the Exclude List
- Verify your filters aren't overriding the exclusion
