Understanding Filters
Master all the filtering options to find your ideal target facilities.
Filters are the key to finding exactly the facilities you need. This guide covers every available filter and how to use them effectively.
How Filters Work
- Filters are additive — each filter you add further narrows the results
- All active filters are shown as pills below the filter sidebar
- Click the X on any pill to remove that filter
- Filters apply to both Table View and Map View
Location Filters
Location is the most important filter. You have three options:
Territory
Select from your saved territories. Your default territory is pre-selected.
- Mutual exclusive with States filter
- Best for consistent, repeatable searches
States
Select one or more US states by name.
- Multi-select supported
- Mutual exclusive with Territory filter
- Good for quick regional searches
Radius
Search within a specified distance from a location.
- Enter an address or place name
- Set distance: 5, 10, 25, 50, 75, or 100 miles
- Uses Mapbox for location autocomplete
- Best for proximity-based searches
Core Filters
Lists
Filter by list membership:
- Include — Show facilities in selected lists
- Exclude — Show facilities NOT in selected lists
Industries/Categories
Select manufacturing industry categories. Examples:
- Chemicals
- Metals & Metal Products
- Plastics & Rubber
- Food & Beverage
- Machinery
- Electronics
- Textiles
Company Type
Filter by business activity:
- Manufacturer
- Supplier
- Distributor
- Service Provider
- Fabricator
Revenue
Set minimum and/or maximum annual revenue:
- Revenue shown in ranges (e.g., $10M-$50M)
- Useful for targeting specific company sizes
- Leave max blank for "no maximum"
Products
Filter by products manufactured or handled. Start typing to search through thousands of product categories.
Tags
Filter by your custom tags:
- Match Mode:
- Any — Facilities with any of the selected tags
- All — Facilities with all of the selected tags
- None — Facilities without any of the selected tags
Status/Export Status
Filter by whether you've already unlocked facilities:
- All — Show all facilities
- Unlocked — Only facilities you've unlocked
- Not Unlocked — Only facilities you haven't unlocked
Company Name
Free-text search by company name. Partial matches work.
Additional Filters
Click More Filters to access these options:
Business Structure
- B2B (Business to Business)
- B2C (Business to Consumer)
- B2B2C (Both)
- B2G (Business to Government)
Keywords
Free-text industry keywords. Matches against company descriptions and categorizations.
Employee Count
Set minimum and/or maximum employee count. Useful for filtering by facility size.
Sustainability
Show only companies with sustainability data, initiatives, or certifications.
Certifications
Filter by quality certifications:
- ISO 9001
- ISO 14001
- AS9100
- IATF 16949
- And more...
Filter Customization
Show/Hide Filters
- Click the gear icon in the filter sidebar header
- Toggle filters on/off
- Hidden filters still exist — they're just not shown
Reorder Filters
- Open the filter customization modal
- Drag and drop to reorder
- Put your most-used filters at the top
Reset to Defaults
Click Reset to Defaults to restore the original filter visibility and order.
Filter Tips
Start Broad
Begin with just location and one or two other filters. See how many results you get, then add more filters to narrow down.
Check the Count
Watch the result count in the header as you add filters. If it drops too low, remove a filter.
Use OR Logic for Tags
When selecting multiple tags with "Any" mode, you'll see facilities matching ANY of those tags — useful for broader searches.
Combine Filters Strategically
Example: Territory + Industry + Revenue range = Your ideal target market
Save to Lists
Once you have a good filter combination, save the matching facilities to a list. Then you can continue refining filters for a different segment.

Large Chemical Manufacturers in Your Territory
- Territory: Your territory
- Industry: Chemicals
- Company Type: Manufacturer
- Employees: 100+ minimum
Certified Suppliers
- States: Your target states
- Company Type: Supplier
- Certifications: ISO 9001
Local Prospects
- Radius: Your address, 25 miles
- Industry: Your target industry
- Export Status: Not Unlocked (to find new prospects)
High-Value Targets
- Territory: Your territory
- Revenue: $50M+ minimum
- Company Type: Manufacturer
